Thor’s L-Band fiber optic transport systems are engineered to support 1 – 2 – 4 – 5 – or 6 LNB signals over a single fiber, making them the perfect solution for distributing satellite services across multiple locations from a single dish array. By converting each incoming L-Band feed into an independent optical RF channel with DWDM optics, these systems eliminate the need for multiple coax runs while maintaining exceptional signal integrity.

Modern satellite TV providers often require multiple coax feeds from the dish for different polarities. With Thor’s platform, all four LNB channels can be combined into a single fiber output via an internal DWDM coupler, or transmitted individually across multiple fibers.

For large-scale deployments, the DWDM optical output can be boosted with an EDFA optical amplifier and distributed through PLC couplers to serve hundreds or even thousands of endpoints. A single Thor F-LB41 transmitter, when paired with EDFA technology, can deliver satellite TV service to more than 1000 homes.

Ideal for residential developments – MDU environments – satellite farms – and commercial headends, L-Band Satellite RF transport drastically reduces infrastructure by consolidating multiple antennas into a single dish and fiber system, offering a cost-effective – scalable – and future-proof distribution solution.
