The Thor SDI to DVB-S/S2 Satellite Modulator is a versatile solution for encoding HD digital video inputs into MPEG-2 or H.264 transport streams. This device modulates the output to a satellite carrier or intermediate frequency, supporting HD/SD-SDI inputs up to 1080p. With integrated H.264/MPEG2 encoding, it offers seamless performance for various broadcasting needs.

This modulator includes an ASI input, allowing for the integration of external transport streams from different encoders or multiplexing with the unit’s encoded streams. It features hot-swappable modules compatible with multiple video inputs such as CVBS, SDI, HDMI, and YPbPr. Additionally, it provides simultaneous ASI and DVB-S/S2 RF outputs, with an optional IF output.
