The H-IP-ASI-B-V3 is a versatile gateway designed for seamless conversion between ASI and IP formats, with the added capability to decode inputs into SDI and HDMI outputs. This device serves as a transparent bridge, enabling both ASI-to-IP and IP-to-ASI conversions, and offers the flexibility to edit transport streams and decode them into various video and audio formats.
Key Features:
- IP Input (UDP or RTP): Supports multicast or unicast streams, handling both SPTS and MPTS formats. Convert these streams to DVB-ASI in passthrough mode or modify them by adjusting PIDs or VCT. Individual streams within an MPTS can be removed as needed.
- ASI Input: Handles both SPTS and MPTS streams. Convert MPTS ASI streams to IP MPTS streams, or transform each TS into its own SPTS IP stream. Modify each TS by adjusting PIDs or VCT, and decode to baseband video as SDI, HDMI, and analog audio.
- ATSC RF Tuner: Tune to any frequency and convert scanned off-air content to ASI or IP.
The unit supports single conversions at a time, such as ASI to IP or IP to ASI, but not both simultaneously. It is ideal for a range of broadcast and streaming applications, offering flexible solutions for ASI/IP and RF-based needs.
Applications and Conversions:
- ASI (SPTS) to IP converter
- ASI to SDI or HDMI converter/decoder
- ASI to SDI or HDMI with analog audio
- ASI (MPTS) to IP (MPTS) converter
- IP input (MPTS) to ASI output (MPTS) or SPTS with muxing functionality
- IP (SPTS) to ASI (SPTS)
- IP (MPTS or SPTS) to SDI or HDMI
- IP to SDI or HDMI with analog audio
- RF Input (ATSC-8VSB) to ASI, IP, and SDI simultaneously, with MPTS mux capabilities allowing PID and VCT modifications
Inputs and Outputs:
- Inputs: IP UDP Multicast/Unicast, DVB-ASI, ATSC RF
- Outputs: ASI for MPEG transport streams, IP for network distribution, and decoder video formats including SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, and CVBS
Please note that the unit can perform ASI-to-IP, IP-to-ASI, or RF (ATSC-8VSB) to IP/ASI conversion, but not simultaneously. The input must be selected as ASI, IP, or RF. If ASI input is chosen, the output will be IP (UDP unicast or multicast), with an ASI output available for transport stream modifications. For example, if an ASI MPTS contains three multiplexed TS streams and one is removed, the output will be a single IP MPTS with two TS streams, or two IP streams (SMPTS), along with an ASI MPTS with two TS streams. The same scenario applies in the opposite direction, from IP to ASI. If RF input is selected, the output will include both IP and ASI. Each individual TS from any source—ASI, IP, or RF—can be selected and decoded to SDI, HDMI, and CVBS simultaneously.
