The Thor H-4HD-EMH-AC3 is a versatile 4-channel HDMI/Component/Composite encoder designed for seamless broadcast streaming. It supports MPEG2 and H.264 encoding with Dolby AC3 audio, delivering high-quality video up to 1080p@60 resolution. This encoder is HDCP compliant and ideal for generating multiplexed ASI and IPTV outputs tailored to US TV standards.

With the ability to handle up to four channels of uncompressed HDMI digital video, or component and composite inputs, this encoder is perfect for mixed media applications. It also supports closed captioning on HDMI programs, ensuring accessibility. Each channel can be independently managed via a modern web browser, allowing adjustments to bitrate, codecs, and video quality.

The Thor H-4HD-EMH-AC3 is designed to work seamlessly with the QAM-IP series of encoder modulators. It multiplexes all four program streams into an ASI MPTS output on mirrored BNC terminals, which can be directly connected to a QAM-IP digital TV channel modulator. This setup allows for the addition of programs as virtual or sub-channels, appearing as channels like 2.1, 2.2, etc., on a TV. Each digital channel can support up to 20 programs, depending on resolution and bitrate.

In addition to ASI output, the encoder provides program streams as UDP or RTP network video transport streams. These outputs comply with IGMP Multicast UDP MPEG-TS standards, making them compatible with most IPTV systems. The streams can be easily viewed in applications like VLC.

Network management is facilitated through a dedicated NMS Ethernet port, and all settings can be adjusted via the front panel LCD and keypad. The device also features LEDs for alarm monitoring and input video detection, ensuring smooth operation.
