Introducing the Thor IP to HD/SD Multi Standard Integrated Receiver Decoder MPEG2 / MPEG4, a versatile solution for high-quality video decoding. This device supports Ethernet multicast/unicast UDP, RTP, and RTSP TS inputs, offering a range of video outputs including HD-SDI with embedded audio, HDMI, CVBS, and YPbPr. It also decodes audio formats such as Dolby Digital, Dolby 5.1*, MPEG 1 Layer 2, AAC-LC, and AC3.

The H-IRD-V3-IP model is a hardware decoder designed for IP TS Stream, ASI, and optional RF carriers, providing multiple video outputs. It delivers broadcast-quality video with embedded stereo audio on the HD-SDI interface and supports composite D1 video and balanced analog audio for NTSC or PAL environments. The decoder can downconvert HD 1080i or 720p to composite or SDI.

This entry-level IRD excels in decoding encoded video from satellite or terrestrial RF sources, making it ideal for ASI input decoding. It allows easy cycling through MPTS programs via the front panel, with comprehensive system configuration available through standalone NMS software. Outputs include HD-SDI, Component Video, HDMI, and Composite Analog, along with digital and optical audio outputs. Two PCMCIA slots for CAM card adapters support conditional access systems, making it a cost-effective choice when advanced features are unnecessary.

The Thor H-HD-IRD series offers multiple applications for decoding program content to broadcast-quality video. Equipped with major video signal outputs, including HD-SDI, these units provide HD video to any display or professional video system. Modern digital audio outputs are available on both optical Toslink and XLR connectors. Standard features include Dolby AC/3 audio pass-through and closed caption support for both 608 and 708 systems. The V3 platform enhances functionality with a front panel LCD for confidence monitoring and an internal program multiplexer for combining content from ASI and IP sources simultaneously.

The web interface displays all available programs and corresponding PIDs, allowing independent addition to ASI or IP outputs. Programs are multiplexed into a single MPTS output, with the IP output configurable for up to 32 SPTS single program stream outputs, each with unique address and port settings. This enables the V3 system to function as an intelligent ASI to IP or RF to IP Gateway with add/drop and ASI multiplexing capabilities. Combined multi-program transport streams over IP can be separated into single program streams. The RF tuner supports QAM, 8VSB (ATSC), DVB-T, DVB-C, or DVB-S2 signal sources, and two CAS card slots facilitate the decoding of encrypted programming.

Thor HD-IRD units are ideal for converting broadband programming to uncompressed HD video, multiplexing, and retransmitting programs to both ASI and IP outputs. These systems offer a reliable and versatile platform for broadcast program decoding and TS protocol conversion.
